This vehicle will be utilized by the Special Operations Division. The Special Operations Division is responsible for planning, staffing, and coordinating over 100 special
events per year. These events include the NWA Pride Parade, Lights of the Ozarks, and traffic assignments related to University of Arkansas Athletics. The Special
Operations Division must have the ability to move large volumes of traffic equipment to direct motorists and protect pedestrians. This equipment includes ant -
vehicle barricades, which are regularly deployed to protect pedestrians during large events. The anti -vehicle barricades on their trailer weigh approximately 15,000
lbs. Additionally, the Special Operations Division oversees our motor unit. The motor unit utilizes a large trailer capable of moving four Harley Davidson motorcycles
for events and maintenance. The current vehicle utilized by the Special Operations Division Is pushed beyond its capabilities when moving these various types. A
more suitable means of transporting the equipment is needed in order to prevent accidents and appropriately safeguard the community.
