meeting shall be allowed for all members of the audience who have signed up
prior to the beginning of the agenda item they wish to address. Speakers shall
be limited to a maximum of five (5) minutes. The Fourth Judicial District Drug
Task Force Control Board may allow a speaker additional time or may allow an
unsigned -up person to speak by unanimous consent or majority vote.

MEETING
May 10, 2023
MINUTES
A meeting of the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force Control Board was held on May 10, 2023.
Those present were:
Jamie Fields, Deputy Chief- Fayetteville Police Department
Jay Cantrell, Sheriff- Washington County Sheriffs Office
Frank Gamble, Chief- Springdale Police Department
Willie Newman, Fiscal Director- Fayetteville Police Department
Jacob Lawson, Sergeant- Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force
Cara Murdoch, Administrative Assistant -Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force
Derek Hudson, Assistant Chief- Springdale Police Department

Deputy Chief Jamie Fields called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the above -listed members were
acknowledged as present. Copies of the minutes from April 19, 2023, meeting were distributed to all present.
A motion was made by Sheriff Jay Cantrell and seconded by Chief Frank Gamble to approve the minutes. The
motion was approved unanimously.
A copy of the financial report for the Grant FY2022-2023 was distributed to all present for review, the period
ending April 30, 2023. Financial Director, Willie Newman, stated the total expense to date was $451,044.00
which included Federal 235041-22JL $62,232, State 235041-22JL $33,066.00, State J23-004-DF $91,319.00,
Local 235041-22.JL $18,670.00, Local J23-004-DF $27,396.00, and Non -Allowed- $218,361.00.
Sergeant Jacob Lawson reported on the task force's activity from April 1, 2023, through April 30, 2023, and he
distributed a copy of statistics to all present. Lawson stated that in April the task force opened 24 cases,
closed 20 cases, and made 17 arrests. Lawson further noted that $2,180.00 was expended for the purchase
of evidence and $600.00 for the purchase of information. Lawson stated that drugs seized during the month
included: methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, fentanyl, and pharmaceuticals. Lawson
stated that 7 warrants were served. Also noted, were 5 drug convictions for April. The task force seized
$38,228.00 U.S. currency during the month. The locations of DTF Enforcement Action for the month were
Fayetteville 15 cases, Springdale 6 cases, West Fork 1 case, Madison County 1 case, and Prairie Grove 1 case.
OTHER BUSINESS
No other business brought before the board.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comments.
Chief Mike Reynolds requested a date and time for the next meeting. The next meeting will be on June 28,
