To City Council and the Planning Commission:
I walk my dogs on this route which includes a portion of Fletcher 4-5 times a week. There are always trash cans out at
multiple town houses. They often block the sidewalk or the road and are a hazard to anyone in their path. I see many
warnings on the trash cans. The warnings multiply, yet the trash cans remain. No one seems to be in any of these
houses.I have never seen a person other than workmen yet there are trash cans .
My photography is limited especially with two energetic dogs pulling me along but I hope you get some insight into a
problem that is obviously being ignored by the owners of the trash cans which I assume also own the town houses. The
neighbors have to look at and dodge these obstacles that should not be in plain sight, 24/7. This is how a neighborhood
declines. This is what happens when people don’t take pride in ownership, when people aren’t part of a community,
when people are only interested in the financial aspect and not in the human condition. This should not happen in
Fayetteville.
