Airport Services Manager's Report:
• AIRPORT ACTIVITY: Tower operations for January totaled 1,762, reflecting an increase from December
but a decrease from January of 2022. January fuel sales totaled 61,449 gallons, an increase from both
the previous month and from 2021.
• FAA RUNWAY REHAB AND LIGHTING PROJECT: Repair work began on the fuel farm entrance in mid
January and will be completed as weather allows. Final runway striping and close out will likely not
resume until March or as temperatures warm.
• FUEL FARM REHABILITATION PROJECT: We have reestablished contact with Bassco Services Inc in
regards to the fuel farm project. At this time they are indicating they will seek to rebid the project.
• AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE: The motion submitted for the City Council meeting of February 7th
has passed. This motion grants Garver permission to apply for an FAA planning grant to cover 90% of
the projected costs of the Master Plan update. Once the grant is received Garver will begin work on
the update. We anticipate this happening in early Spring. Garver will reach out to the ADA to request
the additional 10% of project costs making the City's portion $0.
• WILDLIFE FENCE REHABILITATION: This project is underway and currently being reviewed by the FAA
to clear environmental and obstruction concerns. We are on schedule at this time.
• TAXIWAY BRAVO REPAIR: Bids have been accepted and an award has been made to Action Asphalt to
begin repair work. We expect this work to begin any day now as weather allows.
