FAYETTEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT RECOGNITION AND ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,000.00 REPRESENTING
DONATION REVENUE TO THE FAYETTEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM FIRST SECURITY BANK,
FARMERS AND MERCHANTS BANK, GRAND SAVINGS BANK, UARK FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, AND
NELSON-BERNA FUNERAL HOME FOR THE ANNUAL EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARDS EVENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section I: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment, a copy of
which is attached to this Resolution, in the amount of $7,000.00 to recognize donation revenue from First Security
Bank, Fanners and Merchants Bank (Bank of Fayetteville), Grand Savings Banc, LARK Federal Credit Union, and
Nelson-Bema Funeral Home to the Fayetteville Fire Department for the annual employee service awards event.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby expresses its sincere appreciation for the
donation.

Recognition and acceptance of donations to The Fayetteville Fire Department and
Approval of a Budget Adjustment
RECOMMENDATION:
A resolution approving a budget adjustment in the amount of $7,000 to recognize donation revenue from First
Security Bank, Farmers and Merchants Bank (Bank of Fayetteville), Grand Savings Bank, UARK Federal
Credit Union, and Nelson-Berna Funeral Home to be allocated for funding of the Fayetteville Fire Department's
annual employee service awards event.
BACKGROUND:
Each year, the City of Fayetteville Fire Department receives donations from various businesses and private
donors to support the department's employee recognition program.
DISCUSSION:
The funds are typically utilized to cover expenses associated with an employee service awards banquet, during
which the firefighters are honored and recognized for achievements which take place throughout the year.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
These funds have been deposited into revenue account number 1010.300.3020-4809.00 36029. 1 —Donations
and will be reallocated to expense account number 1010.300.3020-5329.00 36029. 1 —Employee Recognition
upon City Council approval to recognize and accept this donation.
