Good evening, I would like to voice my support of Peace at Home’s request for ARPA funding from the City to expand their current shelter capacity. Earlier this year I was afforded the opportunity to join Peace at Home’s Community Leadership Council. During my time on the council I have learned about all the amazing services that Peace at Home provides to our community, including emergency safe shelter to survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Currently there is more demand in our community for emergency shelter than available capacity, and these needs will only continue to grow. By approving this request, Peace at Home will be able to increase their shelter capacity by 20%, which will undoubtedly help towards addressing these needs. Thank you for your time, and I am hopeful that the City Council unanimously approves this request. Sincerely, Nick Batker Ward 1 Fayetteville, AR 1
