Fayetteville City Council:
I am concerned about your potential plans for development of the current West Avenue parking lot.
My wife and I are season-ticket holders at Walton Arts Center. When we go to events at WAC, we
eat at nearby restaurants and enjoy the variety of dining options available near the WAC. My wife
has limited mobility, and uses a blue handicap parking tag. We are concerned that the planned
development of the West Avenue parking lot will severely reduce parking for the WAC and nearby
restaurants. Without ample parking, especially handicap-designated parking, we may not be able to
attend events at WAC or eat nearby.
Please give thorough consideration to parking requirements for the WAC and nearby restaurants and
businesses as you finalize your development plans.
