We have lived in Fayetteville for eight years and have made it our home. I stay up with what is happening in our city and
feel as if our city leaders are doing a good job of managing the growth we are experiencing. The Ramble is a great
success and the prospect of an open space across from the Walton Arts Center, with the construction of the new parking
garage, sold me on the project.
The plans for a hotel in the open space is not sitting well with me and will change the entire look and feel of the area
that some of us were counting on and looking forward to. Also, the lack of parking is a huge issue and the proposal from
the developers is way off from our parking needs.
I would ask that the city take a hard look at how we want our downtown to function and feel. I believe that a hotel is not
in the the best interest of our citizens, students, business patrons and visitors.
