Dear Council,
The planning of a new hotel for downtown Fayetteville is going to
severely limit the parking for patrons of downtown businesses. I attend
many of the performances at the Walton Arts Center and Theater
Squared, as do many of my friends. As senior citizens, we appreciate the
proximity of the parking choices, which will change for the worse with
approval of a new hotel. Currently, some of the opportunities for parking
close to an event are limited and another large hotel will make the
parking problem almost impossible.
Please consider either postponing the vote or removing the option from
the table until suitable parking is available for ALL of the businesses in the
arts and entertainment section of downtown Fayetteville.
Your considerations concerning this matter will be appreciated not only
by the businesses but by the entire NWA population.
