Fayetteville City Council:
This letter is in support of my community and the arts. My name is Dash Goff, I am a long time
resident of Fayetteville and I was strongly opposed to the removal of the Walton Art Center West
Street parking lot. The thought of a hotel on the corner of that property without enough parking is
appalling to me. My office in Fayetteville is next to Feed and Folly, which the city let them open the
establishment without adequate parking. What a nightmare that has been.
Dickson Street needs the new parking garage and the Walton parking lot on West Street. This lot has
been full several times over the last few years when I have visited Dickson Street. The Walton Art
Center, Theatre Squared, Tin Roof and new businesses need this parking and a hotel will only put
more strain on access to Dickson Street.
