Hello! I am writing to voice my opinion that I stand with the Walton Arts Center that it is a wise idea to postpone any big
decisions about building a motel without the completed parking study.
As it is, I already cringe to go eat on Dickson because parking is difficult and stressful. As a matter of fact, just last week
my family met our college son at Chipotle for dinner and they have only 2 or 3 parking spaces for their business. A
parking attendant was literally sitting in wait to ensure we paid the fee to park right outside Chipotle. Then he paced
the parking lot the entire time we ate dinner on the patio, as if he was just eager to boot someone...........certainly not a
warm welcome to our city's entertainment and dining district.
We are season ticket holders at the WAC and we appreciate being able to park in the lot next to the WAC. Parking is
always plentiful there and the parking it flat surface without climbing stairs or waiting for elevators as one would expect
with a big parking garage.
My thoughts are parking down there stinks enough already, please wait to have a complete and equitable solution
before you make big lasting changes.
