I am a lifelong resident of northwest Arkansas and am deeply concerned about the plans to put a hotel in the current
Walton Arts Center parking lot. That is a TERRIBLE place for a hotel. That area already suffers badly from parking issues
and adding a hotel there without any plan for where the cars will go is short sighted at best. Dickson street is already a
difficult place to park and this will only increase the problems which will be born by the existing businesses. Additionally
I feel a hotel on that space is not in keeping with what was presented when the idea of the art corridor was submitted to
the public. There was talk of gallery space, restaurant space, etc but not a parking intensive structure that few residents
will ever utilize.
