To the Council:
Having already messaged my aldermen, I would implore the City Council as a body to delay a decision on the newly
proposed hotel downtown until adequate provisions for hotel parking have been completed. It is illogical to build a
downtown hotel without providing for the increased demand for parking which that hotel will demand. A vague plan for
offsite parking is NOT appropriate, nor should our downtown businesses and entertainment venues be penalized by a
developer not taking responsibility for the additional demand for downtown parking spaces.
