Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Hello, Dickson Street makes Fayetteville the town that it is and the upcoming growth is exciting and will be yet another reason my friends and family are always coming to see my amazing town. However, I'm concerned about the wellbeing and future success of businesses downtown if the essential and limited parking available goes away or gets minimized. I have no financial ties to any businesses downtown or interest, other than personal enjoyment and family experiences. My husband, 3 year old, and 18 month old love the restaurants, the library and the Walton Arts Center so much. I understand the Walton Arts Center has partnered with surrounding business owners to invest in a comprehensive, parking study of the district’s current and future needs. That study will be completed in December. My ask of you is that additional development decisions be put on hold until the results are available. To do otherwise puts at risk all the careful planning that has occurred to this point. If we build it without adequate parking, the people cannot come, and the businesses we love so much will suffer, if not close all together.
