Ms. Paxton,
If you will please forward my email to Mayor Jordan and the Fayetteville City Councilmen.
I was born in Fayetteville 1959. I attended Washington, Woodland Jr High, FHS and the U of A.
Regarding the renaming of Archibald Yell Blvd, I am not in favor of changing the name. I was not in
favor of renaming and moving Leroy Pond Blvd. I get the reason why this is being requested. Nelson
Hackett is getting a marker on the Fayetteville Square-we don't also need a street renamed after him
also. I understand that Archibald Yell may have not been a nice person but he was a governor. Let's
not whitewash history. No matter how bad it was.
