Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Please vote against the appeal to rezone. I am a neighbor to the rezoning appeal on item C.7: 2022-0695, Appeal RZN 22-029 (1678 W. Palmer). 1 This is a historic neighborhood with beautiful homes, tree canopy, and neighbors that want more families. Please keep it that way. Our home was built in the 1960s. Please understand the investment we made when we purchased in this neighborhood, thinking it would always be this way and not constantly subject to rezoning anytime a home is purchased by a developer citing infill or underdeveloped. It is distinguished from other cookie-cutter neighborhoods that are new and beginning to surround University Heights that are more focused on student housing and/or income producing. This area struggles with major flooding issues due to the steep hillside. Just inquire with any neighboring property on Palmer or Hartman Ave about flooding issues. This is a special area of Fayetteville that deserves preservation. Please maintain the status quo and keep the zoning at RSF-4. Please vote to oppose the rezoning request at 1678 W .
