1. Call to Order: Jennen called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.
2. Roll Call: Jennen, Adkisson, Parrish, Crow, Colvin, Eastin

5. Approval of June 1, 2022 Meeting Minutes
UFAB Motion: Eastin moved to approve June meeting minutes. Colvin seconded the
motion. Motion passed 6-0-0.
6. Amazing Tree of Fayetteville- Plaques getting ordered.
7. State Champion Trees —
Several species are not shown, I recently got a Mexican plum nominated and won.
Fringetree (Chionanthus virginicus) at Walker Park is nominated.
Plaques are being ordered.

Carolina Buckthorn (Frangula caroliniana)
Mockernut Hickory (Carya tomentosa)
Possum Haw (Ilex decidua)
Red Hickory (Carya ovalis)
I would love for this board to start searching our parks for some of these missing trees.
Some do not grow in our area.

8. Native or Invasive Plant Presentation- July — Jim Parrish and Morgan Keeling, from the
Illinois River Watershed Partnership
Parrish and Keeling discussed The Green Between — Trees are a Frame to a great
Painting
• Blue Cities, Blue Neighborhoods with IRWP — Sustainable stormwater management
through Low Impact Development (LID, aka "green" or "natural" infrastructure
• Identifying high -impact green infrastructure opportunities, creating conservation plans
with those landowners to advance concepts of sustainably managed stormwater
• Tapestry Medians/Lawns as Alternative

9. Project updates -
A. Hose bib- Building Exteriors Should be done by 21 sc
B. Code Changes — Street Tree Requirements- Passed through City Council.
C. I am working on Fall projects
Eastin requested to be more involved in the development review process.
Discussion followed.
10. Adjourn:
UFAB Motion: Eastin made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Parrish seconded the
motion. Motion passed 6-0-0.
Meeting adjourned at 4:57 pm.
