Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. I support the recent ban on the sale of pets through retail establishments. City shelters and rescues are already flooded with requests as inflation soars and recession looms. The pets can’t speak for themselves and therefore rely on our voices for support and advocation. If anyone feels inclined to support the sale of pets, through establishments like Petland, I beg you to speak with any animal shelter, rescue, or vet leader about the pets that come from these sales and how they land in their care. I beg you to find a way to visit the “vetted breeders” without notice and evaluate the conditions for yourself. Pets deserve better. Pets are unselfishly there for us. Pets need us to create and maintain a safe place for them. -Amy 2
