I previously emailed the mayor with no response, I seen that the petland store is on the meeting agenda and would like
my thoughts known. I am not a Fayetteville resident but spend 90% of my tax dollars in Fayetteville. Petland is a
disgusting place well known for selling sick animals and purchasing sick animals through puppy mills! Please do not allow
this business in our community!

It came to my attention today that possibly a business that is well known for purchasing dogs from
puppy mills is possibly coming to Fayetteville. This company is known as Petland, although I am not a
resident of Fayetteville, 90% of my tax dollars are spent in Fayetteville so this a great concern! Petland is
synonymous for selling sick puppies and purchasing puppies from puppy mills. Puppy mills that are well
know to have multiple violations and horrible condition for the parents is said puppies! I’d would like to
know the steps that I can take to try and stop such a business being put in our area via a petition or any
other forms that I can file. While I understand that any new business in the area is always exciting and
will generate more tax dollars for the area, this is definitely a company that I believe we shouldn’t be
supporting as we have over run shelters in our area already and this could possibly add to that problem.
Please respond and let me know what steps I can take as it would be greatly appreciated!
