Hello,
I am writing with my concerns for the rezoning of 3160 Skillern Road, Agenda Item 2022-0553. I live at 2867 N Brookbury
Xing, very close to the proposed zoning change. I have learned that the City Planners have approved the change to RSF-4,
which would allow up to 10 or 12 homes. I have also learned that the Senior Planner for the City of Fayetteville
communicated that RSF-2 would be sufficient for the one or two homes the purchaser plans to build. Since the purchaser only
wants to build one home, I don’t understand why the property needed to be rezoned at all, as there is currently a single home
on the property.
I leave for work every weekday morning at 7:30 a.m., at that time I usually have to wait three cars back at the entrance of
Brookbury Woods to be able to turn west on Skillern Road. This has happened over the past few years because of all of the
vehicles using North Oakland Zion Road and then Skillern Road as a cut-through from highway 45. Adding potentially 20 more
vehicles to the intersection of Skillern Road and Old Wire Road north would make the situation even worse.
Please consider approving no more than RSF-2 for this property.
