BACKGROUND: Unit 698 is a 2012 Caterpillar 420E Backhoe with 13.5/15 points and has exceeded it's life expectancy. Water & Sewer has determined that a mini -excavator would perform the duties needed better than a backhoe. This is significantly less expensive! DISCUSSION: A Caterpillar 304 Mini -Excavator available for the Sourcewell contract price of $72,260.34 through Riggs Caterpillar of Springdale, AR.
