CITY COUNCIL MEMO
RECOMMENDATION:
Council awards Bid 21-65 to Southern Tire Mart, LLC for the purchase and installation
of four tire and wheel assemblies in the amount of $31,115.20 plus any applicable
taxes.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 6028 is a 2018 Caterpillar 930M used in the RTC transfer station. This unit uses
solid tires with certain performance standards due to the task requirements of the solid
waste industry.
DISCUSSION:
Through Bid 21-65, four wheel and tire assemblies can be purchased and installed
through Southern Tire Mart at a cost of $7,778.80 each for a total of $31,115.20.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted for each this purchase.
