This unit has been in service for double the life expectancy. Fleet recommends this unit get replaced with an auto -loading hay trailer that will improve efficiency by requiring fewer operators in the field. The only acceptable bidder through Bid 21-69, was Williams Tractor of Fayetteville, AR with an Anderson TRB2000 auto -loading hay trailer in the amount of $66,980.00 plus applicable taxes. Sufficient funds have been budgeted for this purchase. There is a slight shortfall in collection that should be made up with the sale of the old unit. Mailing Address: 113 W. Due to the shortage of available new vehicles and unpredictable ordering windows, the City will not be able to purchase new vehicles according to normal replacement schedules or approved expansion timelines. There have been a multitude of issues affecting the automotive supply chains, including strikes, COVID-19, semi -conductor shortages, and breakdowns in international logistics. Since these limited ordering windows open and close quickly, the City misses these ordering periods and are unable to procure vehicles and equipment needed to continue satisfactory services to the Citizens of Fayetteville. Procurement methods will consist of utilizing various state and national contracts, Cooperative purchasing agreements, previous City of Fayetteville bids, and Government Fleet programs from manufacturers.
