BACKGROUND: Unit 6008 is a 2015 Volvo skid steer that has 13.8/15 points. This vehicle has exceeded its life expectancy. This is commonly used with unit 6023, a 2017 Erskine Planer attachment. However, because they were not purchased together, nor the same brand they have never worked well together and have always caused issues for our street crews. DISCUSSION: A Caterpillar Skid Steer with Planer attachment is available for the Sourcewell Contract price in the amount of $83,344.92, plus applicable taxes through Riggs Cat of Springdale, AR. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for each individual purchase. Each item was approved at the June 81", 2021 Equipment Committee meeting.
