BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget
adjustment, a copy of which is attached to this Resolution, in the amount of $16,000.00 recognizing a
donation from Friends of YRCC to fund summer camp programs offered at the Yvonne Richardson
Community Center.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby expresses its sincere
appreciation to Friends of YRCC for the donation.

Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment, a
copy of which is attached to this Resolution, in the amount of $16,000.00 recognizing a donation from Friends
of YRCC to fund summer camp programs offered at the Yvonne Richardson Community Center.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby expresses its sincere appreciation
to Friends of YRCC for the donation.

SUBJECT: Request for approval of a Budget Adjustment in the amount of $16,000
recognizing and allocating donation revenue from Friends of YRCC to be used for the
summer program offered by the Yvonne Richardson Community Center.
RECOMMENDATION:
Parks and Recreation staff recommends approval of a Budget Adjustment in the amount of
$16,000 recognizing and allocating donation revenue from Friends of YRCC (FOYRCC) to be
used for the Summer Fun4Kids camp program offered at the Yvonne Richardson Community
Center (YRCC).
BACKGROUND:
FOYRCC is a non-profit focused on providing support to underserved families of Fayetteville.
This support includes social, educational, and recreational programming in hopes to provide life
lessons and skills to develop leaders who in turn invest in their communities in the future. This
donation is to cover expenses of the 2021 Summer Fun4Kids Camp program.
DISCUSSION:
Friends of YRCC continues to offer funding support to the YRCC programs, allowing for
participation to take place at little to no cost to families of the Fayetteville community. The
Summer Fun4Kids Camp includes eight weeks of programming. Each week has a different
theme in which the camp activities, crafts, education, games, and outings are centered around.
In addition to funding the program expenses, FOYRCC has generously provided an
accompanying $2,159 towards camp scholarships (camperships) for 26 different children
coming from 20 households. This $2,159 will go directly to camp registration revenue
(1010.520.5280-4900.00) to cover the scholarships.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Recognize YRCC Donations in the amount of $16,000 for 2021 summer camp programming.
$16,000 is to be used for program expenses in related promotional activities.
