Unit 1311 is a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan that was purchased used. Both vehicles have exceeded their life expectancy. A Chevy Traverse AWD and FWD are both available off the Arkansas State Contract in the amounts of $25,845.00 and $23,998.00 respectively, for a combined total of $49,843.00 through Chevrolet of Fayetteville. The All Wheel Drive unit would go to the Planning department to be used when inspecting job sites or potential build areas. Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase. The body and crane of this truck was replaced a couple years ago. However, the cab and chassis is now at 15/15 points and over its life expectancy. A Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton 4x4 Extended cab and chassis is available off the Arkansas State Contract in the amount of $29,238.00 through Chevrolet of Fayetteville. This unit is used for the YRCC's field trips, City Council's trips, transporting groups of employees to trainings or events and other activities. This van has exceeded its life expectancy and the manufacturer is no longer making some of the parts for the unit. A Chevy Express 15 Passenger Van is available off the Arkansas State Contract in the amount of $30,393.00 through Chevrolet of Fayetteville. In addition, several Patrol units are coming due for replacement. To ensure that the units are received and upfit in time, Fleet needs to order them as soon as possible. Five Chevy Tahoe's with Police Pursuit Packages are available for the state contract price of $35,390.00 each, for a total of $176,950.00 through Chevrolet of Fayetteville, AR. The Fire Department's internal equipment committee has spent almost a year in developing specifications to customize fire trucks for Fayetteville's unique features such as narrow streets and mountainous terrain. This makes it the best buy for the City. They have chosen this unit from Pierce Manufacturing through G&W Diesel/EVS. The purchase amount will be for the HGAC price of $815,746.00, plus the performance and payment bond cost of $2,275.00 for a total of $818,021.00; using the bonded pre- pay net discount; approval of a contingency in the amount of $65,000. Unit 339U is a 2002 Ford F350 Flatbed truck that was turned in July. This truck is not in the best shape. However, it will pull these mowers safely. This vehicle has been reissued as unit 339U2 to Transportation. This is an internal move and will not go to Council, it is for information only; not requiring a vote. Mailing Address: 113 W.
