BACKGROUND: Police has unit 1175, a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. This unit has served its life expectancy and has 15/15 points. This SUV is used to access PD generators located in off-road areas. Previously, a Toyota Rav4 available through National Auto Fleet Group of Watsonville, CA was selected and approved for this replacement under Resolution 274-19. Upon further review, the local vendor's price and SUV option was identified as a superior switch. DISCUSSION: Fleet recommends the purchase of the Hybrid Ford Interceptor available for the state contract price of $36,233.00 through Lewis Ford of Fayetteville, AR for the Police Department. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Sufficient fund has been budgeted and collected for this purchase. This purchase was approved at the January 14th Equipment Committee Meeting.
