BACKGROUND: Building Services currently owns unit 2092, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado with 13.1/15 points and has exceeded its life expectancy. A Dodge Ram Regular Cab 1500 is available for the state contract price of $22,325.00. In November 2019, Water & Sewer's unit 2217 was totaled in an accident. Unit 2217 was a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500. A Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab is available for the state contract price of $23,330.00. DISCUSSION: Fleet recommends the purchase of both Dodge Ram 1500s available for the combined state contract price of $45,655.00 through Lewis Ford of Fayetteville, AR for these departments. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Sufficient fund has been budgeted and collected for the replacement of unit 2092. An insurance check will be received by the City to cover all replacement costs for unit 2217. A Budget Adjustment will be presented to Council to move these funds into the proper project. These purchases were approved at the January 14th Equipment Committee Meeting.
