Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid # 19-51 and
authorizes the purchase of a Clement All-Star Dump Trailer from Hilbilt Sales Corporation of Benton
for the total amount of $41,458.00 for use by the Wastewater Treatment Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of a Trailer for the Wastewater Department
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to approve the purchase of a Clement All-Star Dump Trailer for the
purchase price of $41,458.00 from HilBilt Sales Corp. of Benton, AR for the
Wastewater Department.
BACKGROUND:
Wastewater currently owns unit 9166, a 2013 Clement Star -Lite Trailer. This unit has
served its life expectancy and is suffering from major erosion issues due to being used
for hauling bio solids.
Through Bid 19-51, Wastewater will be able to purchase a replacement. The purchase
will be made through HilBilt Sales Corp., the second lowest bidder, due to the lowest
bidder being unable to provide a match to the specifications required for this trailer.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of the Clement All-Star Dump Trailer for the
purchase price of $41,458.00 from HilBilt Sales Corp. of Benton, AR for the
Wastewater Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
This purchase was approved at the December 31, 2019 Equipment Committee.
