BACKGROUND: Ordinance 6168 was passed on April 2, 2019 and approved the purchase of a pump and repair of a motor assembly from Electric Motor Center. The amount approved for the pump purchase and motor repair was $22,929.95 plus applicable taxes. DISCUSSION: Staff did not anticipate freight charges, and when invoiced by Electric Motor center freight was charged in the amount of $300.00. The total due to Electric Motor Center is $25,494.87, which includes freight and taxes. Staff requests to amend Ordinance 6168 to include the cost of freight in the amount of $300.00 plus any applicable taxes.
