Noland Wastewater Treatment Facility from Pump Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $13.38A.0Oplus applicable taxes, and approval ofebudget adjustment. BACKGROUND: The Noland Treatment Facility utilizes gseries ofnine pumps to feed influent through the treatment process. These pumps are divided into two influent pump stations comprised of Station #1's six dry -pit pumps and Station #2's three submersible pumps. Normal flow conditions won't demand daily operation of all influent pumps, but certain high flow events, e.g. following large spring storrne, can demand availability ofall influent pumps. On -the -shelf availability of critical spare parts for the K8B submersible pumps will minimize extended downtimes due to lengthy order times or limitations of influent pump capacity in the case of unexpected pump failure. DISCUSSION: Staff recommends a BN Waiver with Pump Solutions, Inc. out of Hot Springs AR, as they are the region's certified KGB -brand pump representative. Pump Solutions, Inc. recently submitted a quote of $13,389.00 for a critical spare parts kit for the facility's KSB-brand 65 HP submersible pumps. The availability of critical spare parts will prevent extended downtimes in the case of an unexpected pump failure. Staff recommends the purchase of the $13,389.00 in proposed spare parts for the influent pump.
