SUPERIOR DODGE RAM:
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF FOUR DODGE RAM TRUCKS WITH
TOWING PACKAGES FROM SUPERIOR DODGE RAM OF SILOAM SPRINGS IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF $91,492.00, PURSUANT TO A STATE PROCUREMENT CONTRACT, FOR USE BY THE
WATER & SEWER OPERATIONS DIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves the purchase of
four Dodge Ram trucks with towing packages from Superior Dodge Ram of Siloam Springs in the total
amount of $91,492.00, pursuant to a state procurement contract, for use by the Water & Sewer
Operations Division.

F250 truck from Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville in the amount of $26,978.00, pursuant to a state
procurement contract, for use by the Water and Sewer Operations Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one % ton Truck for the Water & Sewer Department
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council approve the purchase of a Ford F250 available through the state contract for
$26,978.00 through Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, AR for the Water & Sewer
Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 2099 is a 2006 is a Ford F150 with 15/15 points and has exceeded its life expectancy. Due
to the weight of the items pulled by this truck, Fleet recommends moving to a % ton with better
towing capacity.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a Ford F250 available through the state contract for
$26,978.00 through Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, AR for the Water & Sewer
Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
