BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves the purchase of
seven Police Package Chevrolet Tahoe from Superior Chevrolet of Siloam Springs in the total amount
of $245,224.00, pursuant to a state procurement contract, for use by the Police Department.

SUBJECT: Purchase of seven Tahoes for the Police Department
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council approve the purchase of seven Chevy Tahoes with Police Pursuit Packages
available for the state contract price of $35,032.00 each, for a total of $245,224.00 through
Superior Chevrolet of Siloam Springs, AR for the Police Department.
BACKGROUND:
In the 2019 CIP an expansion unit was approved for the Police Department. Fleet plans to
issue a ready unit to the Police Patrol for this purpose in early January.
Several Patrol units are coming due for replacement. To ensure that the units are received and
upfit in time, Fleet needs to order them as soon as possible.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of seven Chevy Tahoes with Police Pursuit Packages available
for the state contract price of $35,032.00 each, for a total of $245,224.00 through Superior
Chevrolet of Siloam Springs, AR for the Police Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for these purchases.
