BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid #19-12 and
authorizes the purchase of high performance cold mix asphalt from Hutchens Construction Co. as set
forth in the bid sheet attached to this Resolution as needed through the end of 2019.

SUBJECT: Bid 19-12, High Performance Cold Mix Asphalt
RECOMMENDATION:
A resolution awarding Bid 19-12 to and authorizing the purchase of high performance cold mix
asphalt from Hutchens Construction as needed through the end of calendar year 2019.
BACKGROUND:
The purchase of bulk construction materials and services is necessary to maintain current
infrastructure and to implement projects outlined in the Capital Improvements Program and
annual budget and work program.
DISCUSSION:
Sealed bids in accordance with State statutes, City ordinances, and purchasing procedures
were publicly read and the results are attached to this memo.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Funds for the acquisition of these materials have been budgeted in the In -House Pavement
Improvements capital project.
