BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment,
a copy of which is attached to this Resolution, in the amount of $50,645.00 to establish revenue and expense
budgets associated with security and traffic control provided to Random Productions, LLC from February
through August 2018, for the filming of True Detective.

SUBJECT: Random Productions, LLC Budget Adjustment
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of a budget adjustment in the amount of $50,545 to
establish revenue and expense budgets associated with security and traffic control provided to
Random Productions, LLC from February through August, 2018, for the filming of True
Detective on location in Fayetteville,
BACKGROUND:
The Fayetteville Police Department provided security and traffic control for Random
Productions, LLC during the filming of the HBO series True Detective while on location in
Fayetteville from February through August, 2018, Random Productions was billed for the costs
incurred for the overtime hours logged by the officers of the department.
DISCUSSION:
Funds within this budget adjustment consist of actual revenue and expenses associated
with Random Productions LLC for security and traffic control. The requested budget adjustment
will replenish unbudgeted expenses within our 2018 operating budget.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Our expense budget will increase equal to the revenue received. There is no staffing
impact related to this budget adjustment.
