FROM STRIBLING EQUIPMENT, LLC OF SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$131,350.00 PURSUANT TO THE SOURCEWELL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING CONTRACT FOR
USE BY THE WATER AND SEWER OPERATIONS DIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the purchase of
a John Deere loader with forks from Stribling Equipment, LLC of Springdale, Arkansas in the amount
of $131,350.00 pursuant to the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract for use by the Water and Sewer
Operations Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Loader for Water & Sewer Department
RECOMMENDATION:
A resolution to authorize the purchase of a John Deere 524K -II Loader with forks from Stribling
Equipment, LLC of Springdale, AR in the amount of $131,350.00, pursuant to the Sourcewell
Contract, for use by the Water and Sewer Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 673 is a 2006 New Holland Loader with 15/15 points and it has exceeded its life
expectancy.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a John Deere 524K -II Loader with forks from Stribling
Equipment, LLC of Springdale, AR in the amount of $131,350.00, pursuant to the Sourcewell
Contract, for use by the Water and Sewer Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
This item was approved by the Equipment Committee on August 14, 2018.
