BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the purchase of
a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Quad Cab from Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the
amount of $22,767.00, pursuant to a state procurement contract, for use by the Police Department.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Truck for the Police Department
RECOMMENDATION:
A resolution to authorize the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Quad Cab from Lewis
Automotive Group of Fayetteville, AR in the amount of $22,767.00, pursuant to a State
Procurement Contract, for use in the Police Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 1216 is a 2010 Dodge Charger with 15/15 points. This vehicle is used for transportation
of investigators, investigative equipment and evidence to and from crime scenes. It will be
used for light towing, and for covert surveillance. The current sedan is small, and incapable of
towing, or transporting more than a few small evidentiary items at a time.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Quad Cab from Lewis
Automotive Group of Fayetteville, AR in the amount of $22,767.00, pursuant to a State
Procurement Contract, for use in the Police Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
