The requested services include review, calculations and recommendations for the City's potable water pump stations to provide compliance with current Electrical Codes and updated arc flash safety requirements. BACKGROUND: The current contract with Allgeier, Martin and Associates, Inc for electrical engineering services was approved by the City Council on December 5, 2017 by Resolution 262-17. DISCUSSION: The proposed electrical engineering services contract is requested to provide recommendations and document requirements to assure compliance with current codes, prepare for required electrical replacement/improvements and arc flash electrical safety. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Funds are available in the Water System Rehabilitation project. Date: July 3, 2018 Whereas, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas (Owner) and Allgeier, Martin and Associates, Inc. (Engineer) entered into an Agreement for Professional Engineering Services (Agreement) on December 5, 2017 by City of Fayetteville Resolution 262-17; and, Whereas, the City of Fayetteville has requested that the Engineer perform additional services outside the scope of the Agreement. Now therefore, the following modifications will be made to the Agreement to include the ; additional services requested: I Modifications: 1. Section 2.1.1—the additional scope of services are included in the attached Appendix 2. Section 5.1 - the maximum not -to -exceed amount is increased from $480,049.00 to $526,193.00.
