RECOMMENDATION: Parks and Recreation staff recommends approval of a Resolution for a Budget Adjustment in the amount of $23,106.00 recognizing and allocating donation revenue from Friends of YRCC to be used for the Summer Fun4Kids Camp and Fall programs offered at the Yvonne Richardson Community Center (YRCC). BACKGROUND: The YRCC is committed to shaping today's youth for tomorrow's challenges by providing recreational, educational, and social opportunities. Friends of YRCC is a non-profit focused on supporting this mission by raising funds which allow the YRCC to offer free programming that aims to serve extremely low/very low-income families. This donation is to cover expenses for youth to participate in the Summer Fun4Kids Camp and Fall programs, such as Kids Nite, Girls Scouts, and the Homeschool P.E. program, at no cost. DISCUSSION: Without the assistance of the Friends of YRCC, participation fees would need to be charged for the Summer Fun4Kids Camp and other YRCC offered youth programs. The City appreciates the Friends of YRCC's continual support of these programs. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Recognize YRCC Donations in the amount of $23,106.00.
