W Zander Dr is a newly platted road in the Stonebridge Subdivision Phase ll. There is already an E Zander Dr which is within our Fire Department's mutual aid area but is on opposite sides of the City. Due to this staff is recommending changing the street name to a name that does not create a conflict for our 911 routing of calls. DISCUSSION: The W Maclure Way change is requested by the developer. At this time the name change only impacts the developer. Maclura Pomifera is the Genus name of the Osage Orange tree, which is the centerpiece of this development. At this time there are eight permits assigned to this street and no structures have been completed. All permits are in the name of the developer requesting the name change. Due to this the names change does not affect any existing residence or business. The W Zander Dr change is requested by City's GIS division and 911 Central Dispatch. Staff has contacted the developer and they do not have any objections. At this time there are no permits or structures on the street, so the name change does not affect any existing residence or business. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: None.
