Airport Board Minutes
March 15th 2018

ITEM # 1: Call to Order, Darryl Riddell
ITEM # 2: Approval of the Airport Board Minutes of the January 18th 2018 meeting
• A motion to approve the January 18, 2018 minutes was made by Todd Crane and seconded by Paul
Algee. The motion carried.
ITEM # 3: Receiving of Reports:
Airport Services Manager's Report:
• AIRPORT ACTIVITY: Tower operations for January totaled 1,526, which is up from December. Fuel
sales totaled 47,823 gallons, which is also up over December's sales and those that took place last
January.
Tower operations totaled 1,013 for February, which is down from operations that took place in
January. Fuel sales totaled 43,743 which is down from January but up over February 2017 sales.
• LEASE ASSIGNMENT: City Council has approved the lease assignment from Flying Investments to LC
Joint Adventures, LLC. This assignment is for first hangar as you enter the main parking entrance,
which LC Joint Adventures, LLC is currently in the process of purchasing.
• AIRFIELD PAVEMENT MARKING REHAB- City Council has approved Task Order 10 that provides
funding for bid package development, bidding services, and construction phase services for rehab of
the runway and taxiway pavement markings. The project was a result of discrepancies identified
during the Part 139 Inspection. The bid for the project came in at $124,300 and the application has
been sent to the ADA for consideration.
• T -HANGAR CPI INCREASE- The last t -hangar rate increase was approved in December 2013. We
would like the Airport Board to discuss whether a rate increase should be considered. The current
CPI + 1 increase would be $11.56 for singles $13.94 for modified and $14.28 for twin.
Current area T -Hangar rates are as follows:
Springdale: $250 community $126 open hangar with individual manual doors
Rogers: $238.04 community
Saline County (Bryant): $250 single
Russellville: $185 single
Conway: $200 single
Ft. Smith: $220 single $250 twin
A. Financial Report: provided by Dee McCoy -Financial Coordinator:
• The unaudited revenue for the FBO was at $391,463.23, expenditures were $276,585.75.00 with a
total unaudited profit of $114,877.48.
B. T -Hangar Report - provided by Tamra Kesner— Administrative Assistant:
• There are no vacant T -Hangars with three people on a waiting list for the single and twin size.
C. Museum Report- Provided by Rick McKinney
• Final Repairs scheduled.
• Events in June and July.
ITEM # 4: Old Business:
• T -Hangar rate discussion- Todd Crane made a motion to increase T -Hangar rates by $5 on single
hangars, and $10 on twin hangars. We will re-evaluate every 2 years if an increase is needed. Lizzie
Johnson seconded the motion.
ITEM # 5: New Business:
• 2018 Iron Pig Festival: Bruce Dunn

D. Items from the Airport Board:
• Lizzie Johnson asked if there had been any thought about having a balloon fest. Discussion of all that
it entails, possible dates and activities.
E. Items from the Public:
Discussion on frequency of Airport Board meetings.
