OF $21,131.00, PURSUANT TO A STATE PROCUREMENT CONTRACT, FOR USE BY THE
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the purchase of
a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Regular from Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the
amount of $21,131.00, pursuant to a state procurement contract, for use by the Facilities Management
Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Truck for Facilities Management
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to authorize the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Regular Cab from
Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the amount of $21,131.00, pursuant to the
State Contract, for use by Facilities Management.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 2090 is a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with 12.5 points. It has exceeded the 10 year life
expectancy but still has some life left. Facilities Management would like to replace unit 2090
and then move it into a lesser demanding position. This move would give them another 4 -wheel
drive vehicle and enable staff during weather events.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Regular Cab from Lewis
Automotive Group of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the amount of $21,131.00, pursuant to the State
Contract, for use by Facilities Management.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for this purchase.
This item was presented to the Equipment Committee on February 13, 2018.
