BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the purchase of
a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab 4x2; a Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4; and a Ram 2500 Crew Cab
4x2from Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the total amount of $64,146.00, pursuant to
a state procurement contract, for use by the Parks and Recreation Department.

SUBJECT: Purchase of three Trucks for the Parks Department
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council approve the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab 4x2 for
$17,412.00; a Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 for $22,867.00 and a Ram 2500 Crew Cab 42 for
$23,867.00, for a total of $64,146.00, available through Lewis Automotive Group of
Fayetteville, AR for the Arkansas State Contract price for use by the Parks Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 2075 is a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that has exceeded its 10 year life expectancy. It
currently has 107% of the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost and has
15/15 points.
Unit 2078 is a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that has exceeded its 10 year life expectancy. It
currently has 62% of the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost and 15/15
points.
Unit 2088 is a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that has exceeded its 10 year life expectancy. It
currently has 81% of the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost and 15/15
points.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab 4x2 for $17,412.00;
a Ram 1500 Quad Cab 44 for $22,867.00 and a Ram 2500 Crew Cab 4x2 for $23,867.00, for
a total of $64,146.00, available through Lewis Automotive Group of Fayetteville, AR for the
Arkansas State Contract price for use by the Parks Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for these purchases.
