SALE OF SMALL PARCEL OF LAND - GEORGE'S MAJESTIC LOUNGE:
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF A SMALL PARCEL OF LAND SOUTH OF
GEORGE'S MAJESTIC LOUNGE AND WEST OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville may only begin the process to sell its real property after "the City
Council has passed a resolution expressly authorizing such sale," §34.27 (A) Sale of Municipally
Owned Real Property of the Fayetteville Code; and
WHEREAS, this small parcel is isolated from other city property by the railroad tracks and is thus, "no
longer needed for corporate purposes." §34.27 (B).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby determines that the .038
acre parcel described on Exhibit A is no longer needed for corporate purposes and should be sold for
fair market value by competitive bidding.

$20,000.00 and should be sold for fair market value to George's Majestic Lounge which adjoins
this property.

EXHIBIT A
A part of Block 7 of the Original Town Subdivision of the City of Fayetteville, Washington
County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of Block 7 which is South 00 degrees 09 minutes 30
seconds East a distance of 280.5 feet from the Northwest corner of said Block; thence North 89
degrees 50 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 48.25 feet to a point on a 996.32 foot radius
curve concave to the Northwest; thence Southwest along the curve, 25.0 feet West of and parallel
to the tracks of the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad (formerly Burlington Northern Railroad
Company), through a central angle of 08 degrees 18 minutes 17 seconds an arc length of 144.41
feet to the intersection of said curve with the West line of Block 7; thence North 00 degrees 09
minutes 30 seconds West a distance of 135.98 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 0.08
acres, more or less.
