BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid #17-57 and
authorizes the purchase of a Freightliner M2-112 Roll Off Truck from Truck Centers of Springdale,
Arkansas in the amount of $148,663.00 for use by the Recycling and Trash Collection Division.

SUBJECT: Purchase of one Roll Off Truck for Recycling and Trash
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council approve the purchase of one Freightliner M2-112 Roll Off Truck for lowest Bid 17-
57 price of $148,663.00 available through Truck Centers of Arkansas of Springdale, AR for use
by the Recycling and Trash Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 4003 is a 2010 Peterbilt 320 Roll Off Truck. This unit currently has 84% of its original
purchase price in life to date maintenance cost. Recycling and Trash only has 3 Roll Off trucks
in their fleet, this is a critical part of their operation and have difficulties when one is down for
repair. For that reason, they would like to keep this as a spare unit. That request will be
officially submitted when Unit 4003 is replaced and re-evaluated at that time.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of one Freightliner M2-112 Roll Off Truck for lowest Bid 17-57
price of $148,663.00 available through Truck Centers of Arkansas of Springdale, AR for use by
the Recycling and Trash Department.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been collected and budgeted for this purchase.
This item was approved by the Equipment Committee on November 14, 2017.
