BACKGROUND: Unit .751 is a 2007 Sterling Truck Tractor that has met its 10 year life expectancy, is only at 38% of its original purchase price in -life to date maintenance cost and has nearly 240,000 miles on it. Wastewater has a backup truck tractor, Unit 741U, that is a 1996 Mack Truck with nearly 540,000 miles. Wastewater would like to sell 741U and move 751 into the backup position, making this new purchase their front-line truck for hauling bio -solids. DISCUSSION: Fleet recommends the purchase of one 2018 Kenworth T800 Truck Tractor for the NJPA price of $135,052.44 available through MHC Kenworth of Springdale, AR for use by the Wastewater Department. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Sufficient funds have been budgeted for this purchase. There is a $7,000 shortfall in collection that should be made up in the sale of unit 741 U.
