FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING GROUNDS BUDGET ADJUSTMENT:
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $92,454.00 TO
ALLOW FOR THE COMPLETION OF RESTROOM FACILITIES, STORAGE SPACE AND AN OPEN
CLASSROOM SPACE AT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING GROUNDS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment,
a copy of which is attached to this Resolution, in the amount of $92,454.00 to allow for the
completion of restroom facilities, storage space and an open classroom space at the Fire Department Training
Grounds.

SUBJECT: Approval of a budget adjustment in the amount of $92,454 for the interior
finish work of the Support Building at the Fire Training Grounds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of a budget adjustment in the amount of $92,454 for the interior
finish work of the Support Building at the Fire Training Grounds.
BACKGROUND:
This Budget Adjustment will allow for the completion of the current phase of our overall Fire
Training Grounds Project. It will allow for restroom facilities, storage, and open classroom at the
training site.
DISCUSSION:
The City's Facilities Management Division has estimated a cost of $92,454 for finishing the
current phase at the training support building. Future plans exist to finish out this facility with
offices for the Training Division and enclosing the classroom.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
The finances required for this work will come from existing Fire Department Impact Fee Funds.
The Budget Adjustment will move these funds into Project 17001.1 Fire Training Grounds.
