Airport Board Minutes
June 15, 2017
MEMBERS PRESENT: Darryl Riddell, Paul Algee, Lizzie Johnson, Rick Bailey
MEMBERS ABSENT: Marty Burggraf, Bill Corley, Todd Crane
OTHERS PRESENT: Summer Fallen/City, Dee McCoy/City, Ben Perea/Garver Engineers
ITEM # 1: Call to Order, Darryl Riddell
ITEM # 2: Approval of the Airport Board Minutes of the May 18, 2017 meeting
• A motion to approve the May 18, 2017 minutes was made by Rick Bailey and seconded by Paul Algee.
The motion carried.
ITEM # 3: Receiving of Reports:
A. Director's Report—provided by TerryGulley-Transportation Services Director:
• Airport Activity: Tower operations in May were 1892, which is down from April but up overall for the
year. May fuel sales were 31,785 which is up slightly over April and up close to 15% over last year's
sales.
• Roof Rehab Project: Franklin and Sons has completed all rehab projects, except the terminal building,
which is still in progress. Foster Roofing, a sub -contracted company on this project, has completed the
Museum hangar. The City's Facilities Maintenance Department will be staining the replaced decking.
• Corporate Roof Rehab Project: The contract has been fully executed with Arkansas Roofing Kompany.
We are currently going through the submittal review process. Once materials have been received and
approved we will be able to schedule the pre -construction meeting for the project.
• Self -Service Pumps: Quotes have been requested and are currently being reviewed to replace both
the Avgas and Mogas pumps on the east side of the airfield. We plan for the project to be completed
in 6-10 weeks, depending on the lead time of the replacement tank delivery.
B. Financial Report: provided by Summer Fallen -Financial Coordinator:
• Tower operations were at 1,892, which is down from April.
• Fuel sales were slightly up at 31,785.
• FBO expenditures were $497,209.81 and the FBO revenue was at $638,268.10 with a total unaudited
profit of $141,058.29.
C. T -hangar Report - provided by Dee McCoy -Administrative Assistant:
• The airport has 2 vacant single size t -hangars. There are currently 3 people on the waiting list for a
twin size hangar.
D. Museum Report -provided by Rick Bailey:
• There was a good turn our for the car show. The muesum made $2,500 during the event.
• There will be a B-17 and a B-25 at the museum during Bikes, Blues & BBQ. The Commerative Air
Force will be bring five aircraft during this time to give, rides.
• During the Wal Mart Shareholders week people came out to see Sam Walton's plane.
• The Ninety -Nines, International Organization of Women Pilots will are creating a Women in Aviation
exhibit at the musum.

A. Preliminary Website Discussion:
• Summer Fallen explained to the board that the airport's webpage is being updated with more
informational features. Links to businesses on the field are being added, as well as information for
rental cars, car services, hotels, fuel prices and spaces aviailable for grounds leasing.
ITEM # 7: Other Business:
A.' Items from the Airport Board:
• Paul Algee mentioned the lines in the parking lot are wearing and asked if there was any updates
going to be made to the parking lot. Terry Gulley explained that when funding becomes available, it
is being discussed to micro -surface the parking lot.
