HomeMy WebLinkAbout172-17 RESOLUTIONF fAYEr, F l O { : 4 R K A:.N 5 PS. 113 West Mountain Street Fayetteville, AR 72701 (479) 575-8323 Resolution: 172-17 File Number: 2017-0412 ADDITIONAL PERSONAL HOLIDAY TIME: A RESOLUTION TO ADD EIGHT (8) ADDITIONAL HOURS OF PERSONAL HOLIDAY TIME FOR ALL CITY EMPLOYEES FOR 2018 WHEREAS, City employees now enjoy one personal day that can be used on their birthday or any other workday if approved by their supervisor; and WHEREAS, the personal day must be used during the calendar year and cannot be rolled over and used in a subsequent year; and WHEREAS, personal holiday time may not entitle non -uniformed employees to extra compensation, but can only be used similarly to a holiday with permission of the employee's supervisor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby grants to all City employees, beginning in 2018, an additional eight (8) hours of Personal Holiday time under similar terms, limitations and conditions as the current personal day off. Uniformed Police and Fire employees will have these eight (8) additional hours of Personal Holiday time added into their premium holiday pay calculation.
