BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby awards Bid #17-37 and
authorizes the purchase of a John Deere 5100E Tractor with mowing attachment and a John Deere 6110M
Tractor with mowing attachment from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment Company, Inc. in the total
amount of $202,099.00 for use by the Transportation Department.

RECOMMENDATION:
City Council approve the purchase of a John Deere 5100E Tractor with mowing attachment in
the amount of $84,676.00 and a John Deere 6110M Tractor with mowing attachment in the
amount of $117,423.00 available through Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment of Springdale,
AR for use in the Transportation Department.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 579 is a 2004 New Holland TS115A Tractor with mowing attachment. This tractor has
exceeded its life expectancy and has 121% of the original purchase price in life to date
maintenance cost.
Unit 580 is a 2004 New Holland Tractor with mowing attachment. This tractor has exceeded its
life expectancy and has 120% of the original purchase price in life to date maintenance cost.
These tractors are used for maintaining the right of way areas throughout the city.
DISCUSSION:
Fleet recommends the purchase of a John Deere 5100E Tractor with mowing attachment in the
amount of $84,676.00 and a John Deere 6110M Tractor with mowing attachment in the amount
of $117,423.00 available for the lowest bid received through Bid 17-37 that met all specifications
was from Countryside Farm and Lawn Equipment of Springdale, AR.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
Sufficient funds have been budgeted and collected for both purchases.
This purchase was approved by the Equipment Committee on June 13, 2017,
